About

"The Borderlands cycle" – A road and gravel cycle event set in the spectacular Mac Nean valley and surrounding hills of Cavan, Fermanagh and Leitrim – we have four routes on offer, 55K, 65K, 85K & 100K- to suit everyone from the novice cyclist to the experienced gravel grinder. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Mac Nean lakes and hills this area is the perfect setting for a road and gravel event of this magnitude.

Route 1: THE BANBH

A challenging cycle despite its headline figures.Follow the route of the Black Piglet but take a left in Kiltyclogher to avoid some climbs. Again when you reach 'the Rainbow' you follow the main road avoiding the 25% climb and rejoin the route to Blacklion and home to Belcoo.

Route 3: THE BLACK PIG

Take in Belmore and Big Dog Forests along with the route of 'The Piglet'  More gravel, More hills, More lakes. This is a significant challenge, lots of climbing and great scenery around beautiful Lough Mac Nean
