Join Geopark staff and Neolithic experts to learn more about this fascinating site!

10-11am – learn about the discovery of Neolithic Rock Art with Local expert Gaby Burns and go on a tour of rock art in its context in Cavan Burren Park.

11am-1pm – A tour of the megalithic tombs with Geopark guide Fergal to learn about the different types of tombs, their history and construction.

11am-1pm – Join geopark Guide Dani for a storytelling and arts and crafts session based on local myths and legends of Giants and spirits. for kids aged 6 and up

2-4pm – Join Neolithic Rock Art expert Clare Busher O'Sullivan for a presentation on the Atlantic Rock Art found in Cavan Burren Park.

Clare Busher O'Sullivan's interest in rock art began while completing her BA in archaeology at University College Cork. She continued her research on prehistoric rock art, focusing on the conservation of rock art in south-west Ireland and graduating with an MPhil in 2018. Since then she has presented and published her research nationally and internationally. Clare now works in tourism and is very passionate about Ireland's unique and exciting tourism offering including the archaeological heritage. Clare's primary passion is for the conservation and management of Irish open-air rock art.
