Samhain: A Celebration of Irish Traditions
At the turn of the seasons, when light gives way to darker nights, the people of Ireland gathered to mark Samhain – the ancient festival that gave rise to today’s Halloween.
On Saturday 1st November, the Westville Hotel will honour these traditions with an evening of candlelit dining, folklore and music. Guests will share in a five-course menu inspired by the harvest, listen to stories of local legends, and experience the spirit of Samhain as our ancestors once did – through food, song and storytelling.
Rooted in Fermanagh’s landscape of loughs, islands, and castles, this celebration invites guests to reflect on the myths and memories that shaped our culture — a reminder of why this region remains one of Ireland’s most storied and welcoming places.
This gathering is less about trick or treat and more about connection, memory, and celebrating the roots of Irish culture here in Fermanagh.
We look forward to welcoming you to the table.
