Ulster American Folk Park, 2 Mellon Road, Omagh, Tyrone, BT78 5QU
A women in historical costume at the Folk Park

About

Explore the inspiring stories of women this International Women's Day at the Folk Park.

On Saturday 8th March, come along to the Ulster American Folk Park and discover the powerful stories of women who emigrated from Ulster to America centuries ago.

We'll be telling the stories of the women who lived in our exhibit buildings, like Mrs Mellon, the matriarch of the Mellon family! You can also visit our 'Bad Bridget' exhibition and learn the stories of thousands of brave women who emigrated. Discover the strength these women possessed as they left their old lives in Ireland to start again in America, despite the odds.
