This is a guided lough paddle exploring the beautiful blueways of Fermanagh with coaching and paddling tips on the go for those who want it. Open to everyone, you do not need to be a club member to join in. The trip will be led by our friendly, experienced and highly qualified coaches, who all have a passion for the outdoors and want to provide awesome experiences for our participants :)
We have excellent, stable touring kayaks that fit a wide range of people and are straight running, enabling people to enjoy this journey.
SUITABLE FOR:
This is a social paddle suitable for everyone, including beginners. Participants should be aged 14 yrs+ and able to paddle at a moderate pace for a few hours.
EQUIPMENT:
We will provide all the paddlesports and safety equipment you need; kayaks, spraydecks, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets.
The only thing we can't supply is your personal paddling wear.
For colder weather trips a full (long sleeves and trousers) 3 or 4 season wetsuit (or drysuit / top) and wetsuit boots are essential. A paddling "cag" is a great addition to your wetsuit to prevent windchill and help keep water out of your kayak.
For warmer weather trips comfortable clothing with an outer waterproof layer is fine.

You must bring a full set of warm, dry clothes, shoes, and a towel.
Most people arrive ready to go paddling or you may change at your car as many paddlers do. A changing towel and a mat to stand on make this a much easier and more discrete process, or a large bin liner to sit on, on the way home in your paddling kit works well too. A full set of dry clothes including shoes and a towel are essential to bring for your comfort and safety.
