We have planned a fun filled afternoon for family and friends starting at 4pm - Kids activities, BBQ, cake sale, paddlesports equipment swap shop, information stands, a raffle with great prizes and much more.
All funds raised (after firewalk costs) will go to the charitable purposes of the club, supporting the recognised and valuable community work we do.
Further details and a sponsorship form will be emailed to everyone who registers to take part.
Please register at least two weeks before the event to allow time for your fundraising.
About Us
Erne Paddlers a community based, not-for-profit organisation that aims to be more than just a paddlesports club by helping people live "Better Lives Through Paddlesport".
We want to support local people to access the proven benefits to health and well-being of a social, outdoor experience and exercise. We employ the "Take Five" methodology of providing; connection, exercise, being present, challenge and learning and service or giving back, elements that we have integrated into our core activities.
The club has excellent links to local youth and disability groups, schools, charities and more. We have experience over many years, coaching individuals and groups of all ages and abilities, including providing accessible paddling opportunities for people with physical and learning disabilities, and we have invested time developing our staff and volunteers' skills.
Our excellent team of experienced and qualified coaches and leaders are all passionate about outdoor education as a means for developing individuals and communities through paddlesport. The coaching team work together to support individuals to learn to paddle through a series of regular, carefully planned progressive small group sessions. We focus on individual abilities and strengths to ensure people develop to their full potential and become confident paddlers, able to enjoy the sport at whatever level they want to.
We operate all year round, offering a wide range of outdoor activities using different craft, as well as indoor kayaking during the winter months in local swimming pools in Enniskillen, Fivemiletown and Omagh.
Under the guidance of our coaches, paddlesport is an ideal medium for developing; self-confidence, resilience, mindfulness, problem solving, decision making, playing and working well with others and many more fundamental life skills, in a fun, enjoyable and safe way. Paddlesport is also a great activity to connect people to their natural environment and heritage, helping foster awareness and environmental good practice.
