"Rescue, Revive, Rejoice"! These are words taken from one of Mavis Thomson's sculptural assemblages on show as part of this exhibition.
Complementing the launch of a new book, 'Coloured Thoughts' presents Mavis Thomson's vibrant works of art created from found and discarded objects. Each piece has an accompanying verse by the artist, explaining the stories and inspirations associated with the work. Powerful and moving as well as sometimes playful and humorous, the art on display is both thought provoking and uplifting.
Born in Omagh, Mavis Thomson made her home in Enniskillen. She is a Senior Royal Ulster Academician and a life member of the Ulster Society of Women Artists
