About
This is an inclusive paddle, suitable for everyone. All are welcome, beginners and experienced paddlers, members and non-members.
Description:
This will be a guided lough paddle exploring the beautiful blueways of Fermanagh with coaching and paddling tips on the go for those who want it. The trip will be led by our friendly, experienced and qualified coaches, who all have a passion for the outdoors, and providing awesome experiences for our participants
We have excellent, stable touring kayaks that fit a wide range of people and are straight running, enabling people to enjoy this journey. We will also use open canoes for younger paddlers and families.
This is an inclusive paddle, suitable for children and adults. Everyone is welcome. If you are a parent or carer and feel you child needs your 1-1 support you can come along too, just let us know. If you'd like to join in for the fun and paddle alongside you're very welcome to book a place as well.
Refreshments will be provided afterwards.
Paddling from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Finished about 1pm
Equipment:
We will provide all the paddlesport equipment you need; kayaks, canoes, spraydecks, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets.
The only thing we can't supply is your personal paddling wear.
For these trips, normal outdoor clothes suitable for the prevailing weather (tracksuit, fleeces or walking clothes, including shoes to get wet) are perfectly fine. If you have a wetsuit, that's great, please feel free to wear it, but it's not necessary for a short trip this time of year.
A full set of dry clothes including shoes and a towel are essential to bring for your comfort and safety.
Most people arrive ready to go paddling or you may change at your car as many paddlers do. A changing towel and a mat to stand on make this a much easier and more discrete process, or a large bin liner to sit on, on the way home in your paddling kit works well too. Facilities:
There are public toilets at the Round O though these are not always open.
