Short walk from narrow road across a field to historic site (please note that access may be uneven and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility).

Guided tour by Lisnaskea Historical Society and short talk on history of this renowned heritage site, not usually open to the public. Site is a likely a Neolithic burial tomb, locally called the Moat Ring, due to its shield like appearance. In Irish 'Sciath Gabhra'. An important place and best known as the inauguration site where the Fermanagh Maguire Chieftains were crowned by their overlord O'Neill of Tyrone between 13th and 16th centuries. An oft considered sacred place in Fermanagh's Gaelic history.
