About

Step Back in Time at Lisnaskea's Old Tyme Market Day on Thursday 12th June

Lisnaskea Historical Society is delighted to host its much-loved Annual Old Tyme Market Day on Thursday 12th June, from 10:00am to 12:30pm, at the Archdale Centre and Cornmarket Yard.

This event brings history to life and celebrates our local heritage with something for all ages to enjoy. Pupils from local primary schools will showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit as they sell handmade goods and practice the age-old art of bartering—come along and support the next generation of market traders!

Explore a lively mix of craft stalls, traditional food demonstrations, and heritage games. Discover the skills of rope making, spinning, weaving, and more. Don't miss the rare poultry exhibition and the fascinating display of McMahon spades, a tool unique to our area's history.

There'll also be vintage tractors, local booksellers, and even a chance to experience history through VR goggles featuring a virtual canal journey. And for a sweet treat, the ice cream van will be on-site throughout the morning.

It's a fun-filled morning for the whole family—and a great way to support local culture and community. We look forward to seeing you there!
