Get ready for a week of fishing and friendly competition, because Fermanagh and Omagh District Council are thrilled to announce the official dates for the highly anticipated Fermanagh Classic Fishing Festival 2024.

After careful consideration of feedback from participating anglers and consultations with fellow festival organisers, the organising committee, led by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, in collaboration with support from DAERA Inland Fisheries, Erne Anglers, Angler representatives, and Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism, is delighted to unveil the new date from Sunday, 28 April to Friday, 03 May 2024.

Andrew Gregg, the reigning champion of the Fermanagh Fishing Classic 2023, expressed his support for the change, stating, “The Council’s proactive approach in making this adjustment will undoubtedly enhance the competition. I wholeheartedly endorse this decision and eagerly anticipate my return to this prestigious festival in 2024.”

Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, emphasised the Council’s ongoing dedication to enhancing the festival. He stated, “As part of our unwavering commitment to constant improvement, we welcome feedback from all stakeholders. Our primary objective is to responsibly expand the festival, securing its enduring triumph in the years ahead.”

So mark your calendars, gather your fishing gear, and get ready for a week filled with laughter, camaraderie, and fantastic fishing action. We can’t wait to see you at the Fermanagh Classic Fishing Festival 2024.
