About

The Gate Lodge at Blessingbourne Estate

Stay in a Beautifully Restored Historic Gate Lodge. Nestled at the entrance to historic Blessingbourne Estate, The Gate Lodge is a beautifully restored self-catering cottage offering a peaceful countryside escape within our private 550 acre estate. Sleeping up to five guests, this charming three bedroom cottage combines the character of a traditional estate gate lodge with the comfort of modern country living. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a family holiday or a relaxing break with friends, The Gate Lodge provides a welcoming retreat surrounded by woodland, wildlife and beautiful countryside.

Inside, the bright and spacious open-plan living area features vaulted ceilings, comfortable furnishings and a cosy wood burning stove, creating the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the estate. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area provide everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay, while carefully selected artwork by Irish artists Marina Hamilton and Barbara Ellison adds character throughout the cottage.

Outside, guests can enjoy their own private lawned garden, patio and beautifully furnished gazebo. Whether you're enjoying breakfast in the morning sunshine, dining outdoors on a summer evening or simply unwinding with a good book, the gazebo provides a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of Blessingbourne Estate.

The cottage features three beautifully furnished bedrooms comprising a master bedroom with a traditional cast iron bed, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, comfortably accommodating up to five guests.

Experience Blessingbourne Estate

A stay at The Gate Lodge offers so much more than exceptional accommodation. Guests have access to everything Blessingbourne Estate has to offer, including scenic woodland walks, professional mountain bike trails, coarse fishing, boating on our private lake, a tennis court and guided heritage experiences. With 550 acres of parkland and woodland to explore, the estate provides the perfect setting to reconnect with nature and enjoy the slower pace of countryside life.

Bring Every Member of the Family

Dogs are warmly welcomed at The Gate Lodge, making it the ideal choice for a pet-friendly holiday. With woodland walks, open parkland and plenty of space to explore right from your doorstep, both two-legged and four legged guests can enjoy everything the estate has to offer.
