About

Tour of this ancient site, part of the Lough Erne Pilgrim Way, highlighting the historic significance of this important island settlement in Upper Lough Erne.

Founded in the 6th century for St Tighernach, patron saint of Clones, the site includes the remains of two highly decorated cross shafts. Tour led by medieval stone sculpture specialist, Megan Henvey.

Booking is essential. Please come prepared with suitable footwear and clothing, appropriate for the weather and the site of an ancient graveyard. In inclement weather, the tour will move to a nearby venue. This event is part of European Heritage Open Days 2023
