Killykeen, Cavan, Cavan, H12 XH36
Gathered mushrooms

About

Join Geopark Guide Shailagh for a Foraging experience in Killykeen Forest Park!
See all the fascinating fungi that the autumn has to offer and sample safely under the guidance of our mushroom expert.
Learn about the fascinating hidden world of Fungi below the ground, what to look out for and key terms for parts of the mushroom. Unleash your inner forager and together we'll identify and query mushroom, plant and tree species, incorporate Irish botanical words and learn about their Celtic mythology and the time-honoured uses associated with them.
Please wear sturdy footwear and warm waterproof clothing.

If you notice you or anyone in your group experiencing any potential Covid-19 symptoms, then please do not attend events.
