A boating holiday gives you the perfect opportunity to take part in the many activities available in the county.

The opening of the Lough Erne Resort made Fermanagh a new golf destination. Their new 18 hole championship course designed by Nick Faldo is an asset to the county. The resort which hosted the 2013 G8 summit, is now a beacon in Irish 5* luxury and hospitality.

World renowned as a fishing destination, Lough Erne is a mixed coarse and game fishery. The game angling mainly takes place in the Lower Lough which is over 25 miles long, althoughTrout, Salmon and Wild Brown Trout are found throughout the system. Upper Lough Erne is considered one of the best pike fishing lakes in Europe.

There are a number of activity centres dotted around the lake which offer facilities for you to try banana-skiing, kayaking, windsurfing, water trampoline, climbing, archery etc.

The Lough Erne Canoe Trail is a 50km route through the magnificent lakes of Upper and Lower Lough Erne, which is ideal for all levels. There is a comprehensive website and waterproof guide to help you navigate the route. Canoes can be hired through various points along the lake. Canoe guides are also available.

Fermanagh is the ideal venue for walking and biking enthusiasts and the many jetties along the way will allow you access to some of the finest walks in the county. Climb to the top of the Magho Cliffs and marvel at one of the most stunning viewpoints in Ireland or take a leisurely walk around the grounds of Crom Estate National Trust and watch the deer go by. Most of our walking routes are ideal for biking also.
