Why not explore Fermanagh's unique stories within the picturesque setting of Enniskillen Castle, discover diverse histories within the castle walls from Medieval Stronghold to Plantation Castle to later Military Barracks. Today, the historic Castle complex houses two Museums, Fermanagh County Museum and The Inniskillings Museum, forming Enniskillen Castle Museums. A visit to the Castle offers excellent value for money, admission into the Visitor Centre (Visitor Information Centre, Shop, Castle Café & toilet facilities) is FREE.

Follow The Swallow – Walking Trail

Follow The Swallow journey through Wilde Island Town, home of The Happy Prince. The full walking tour of ‘Follow the Swallow’ begins at War Memorial, Belmore Street, at the bottom of Forthill Park and the Happy Prince statue.

Garden of The Celtic Saints Irvinestown 

Dive deeper into the enchanting world of art in Irvinestown with the Devenish Figures, an extraordinary assembly of wooden sculptures meticulously carved from Irish oak. Crafted by the skilled hands of Lithuanian artist Jonas Raiskas, these figures depict saints and scholars such as Saints Patrick, Brigid, Columbanus, Gall, Molaise, Columcille, and Killian. Jonas, a native of Lithuania, brought his talent to Irvinestown in 2007, dedicating four years to fashioning these exquisite pieces for the garden.

The garden, adorned with these remarkable sculptures, welcomes visitors daily, offering a serene and free-entry space to explore. While immersing yourself in the artistic ambiance, take a leisurely stroll through The Garden of Celtic Saints and marvel at the intricate details of Jonas's creations.

As you continue your exploration, make sure to visit the Memorial of The Irish Famine, situated near The Garden of Celtic Saints. This poignant tribute features eight additional sculptures by Jonas, providing a solemn reflection on this historical period. The memorial, like the garden, is open daily for those who wish to pay their respects.
