About

The historic island-town of Enniskillen in Northern Ireland’s picturesque Fermanagh Lakelands is the most westerly community in the UK participating in The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons. Her Majesty’s first visit to County Fermanagh was as a young Princess on the 20th of March 1946.

‘Our Coronation Story’

Enniskillen Castle Museum, Enniskillen

Celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, ‘Our Coronation Story’ is curated by the local community and hosted by Enniskillen Castle Museums.

With unique garments on display from those who attended and participated in the Coronation ceremony, souvenirs & memories from local people and the dress, coat and hat worn by Her Majesty when she visited Enniskillen in 2012 for the Diamond Jubilee.        

Open Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 12th June

**Please note that Saturday 11th June will be the last day which Her Majesty's Coat, Dress & Hat will be on display within the 'Our Coronation Story' exhibition at Enniskillen Castle. This is to facilitate its return to Her Majesty on Sunday 12th June**

Proceedings will commence at 2pm with an official proclamation by Toastmaster Gary Wilson at Enniskillen Courthouse

Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty The Queen. Masses Pipes & Drums Band and Enniskillen Castle illuminated purple with two beams of light projecting over the Castle from Thurs 2nd to Sunday 5th June.
