Guided tours to Devenish Island

About

Saturday 12 September is the feast day of St Molaise, the founder and patron saint of Devenish Island and Inishmurray Island.

Also known as Laisrén of Devenish and Mo Laisse, he died in 564 and was one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland educated under St Finnian of Clonard.

To mark the occasion, well-known Fermanagh storyteller, writer and historian Seamas Mac Annaidh will lead guided tours on Devenish Island from 11am - 5pm.

Those who know Seamas will know that he is a wealth of local knowledge and shares the stories of Fermanagh with great passion and wit.

Gudied boat tours to Devenish island are available with Erne Water Taxi, departing from Enniskillen Castle Museums Jetty at 10am, 12 noon and 4pm.

Tickets are £25 per person. Limited spaces available.

Join us this Saturday and discover more about St Molaise and the remarkable heritage of Devenish Island.
