Geopark 25 - Felting the landscape

Cleenish Community Hall, 68 Arney Rd, Bellanaleck, Fermanagh, BT92 2AB
Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark

About

Join Geopark Ambassador, Morag, for a creative wet felting workshop inspired by the landscapes of the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark. Using sheep's wool, including locally sourced materials where possible, participants will create a unique felted artwork in response to the surrounding environment.

Guided through the traditional wet felting process and finished with stitched embellishments, participants will explore texture, colour, and shape inspired by the Geopark's natural heritage. This hands-on workshop offers an opportunity to connect with the landscape through creativity, while learning traditional fibre art techniques in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Suitable for beginners and experienced crafters alike.
