About
First film festival in Fermanagh
Celebrating Film, From Fermanagh and Further Afield
At the heart of Colofilm Fest is a simple idea: to bring people together to enjoy great cinema while creating a platform for the talent we have right here in Fermanagh.
A key partner in that mission is Fermanagh Film Club / Lakeland Community Cinema, which is now in its 18th year. The club is dedicated to bringing arthouse, foreign-language and culturally significant films that might not otherwise be available in Fermanagh, while also supporting actors and filmmakers across the island of Ireland.
The club has recently begun its autumn season with a diverse programme of films and, in a new venture, will also be screening a Documentary Film Festival on the first weekend of October.
The day’s Colofilm Fest programme will feature a hand-picked selection of feature films, documentaries and short films, alongside a dedicated Local Talent programme showcasing the work of filmmakers, producers, writers and actors from across the county.
The programme will also include work from Ukraine through the festival’s partnership with Strichka, a Ukrainian cinema platform.
Individual film information and the full running order are announced on the @colofilmfest Instagram page.
