White Island Ferry Service
White Island is an Island located on Lower Lough Erne. It is situated in Castle Archdale Bay off the east shore of Lower Lough Erne. The ruins of a 12th-century church with Romanesque doorway are found near the shore, built on the site of an earlier monastic settlement. The island is also known for its archaic carved 8 stone figures which sit in a line and are set into the wall dating back to the 6th century. These figures were used as building stones when the church was being constructed which means that they pre-date the church.
Additional tours outside these days and times can be arranged for groups, tours etc. of 10/12 or more people. It is recommended that visitors check with the Marina at Castle Archdale as ferry times may vary depending on weather conditions etc.
The total tour time lasts approx. 1 hour (Journey time to the Island approx. 15 minutes, stop on the Island approx. 30 minutes) Ferry capacity 10/12.
