Sharing Summer Science

Lisnaskea, Enniskillen, 28 Aug - 29 Aug

Description

Sharing Summer Science is open from 13:00 - 18:00 on Wednesday 28 August & 10:00 - 13:00 on Thursday 29 August. Check out some of the exciting things you can get up to:

LEGO® Big Build - From skyscrapers to bridges and from airplanes to trains, there’s nothing you can’t build with LEGO®! Come along, get building and let your imagination run free. When you’re done, add your unique LEGO® structure to our cityscape and watch it grow.

Science Magic Show - An entertaining and interactive show which looks at the forces and the chemistry behind magic tricks – including the laws of motion, acid-base reactions, and gyroscopic force. With a little scientific role play we'll also discover (with the help of a chicken!) why the moon stays in the sky and then throw in some rocket science to boot!

Story Time – The Dragon from the Lagan - Watch out, there’s a dragon about! But don’t worry, he’s one of the friendly ones. Hear his story as he jumps onboard a Belfast Glider and makes his way down to W5 for some crazy rhyming science fun!

Birds of Your Garden – Lough Erne Landscape Partnership (29 August only) - Learn more about the birds that are in our gardens, the birdsong that we hear. Also you will learn how to make your very own Bird Cake that you can hang up in the garden and feed garden birds.

In addition to our entertaining programme of activities, you can also take part in our ‘LEGO® Robotics’ workshop and bring computing to life! Using a LEGO® Education kit, you can build a LEGO® model and make it move with some simple programming!
