Each year, the Cycle Challenge chooses some local charities to support with the funds raised from the cycle. The four charities chosen to benefit from this years’cycle are: The Severfield Foundation: a registered charitable organization raising funds for, and offering practical assistance to, charitable bodies throughout the UK, through the activities of Severfield employees and companies.
The national charity chosen by The Severfield Foundation in 2017 will be Prostate Cancer UK; Cancer Connect (NI): a Co. Fermanagh charity in Northern Ireland, supporting and guiding those affected by cancer. Fermanagh Stroke Association: a charitable organisation set up to support stroke survivors in the local area to make the best recovery that they can.
Jengana: A registered Christian charity with strong roots in County Fermanagh providing funding and help to the underprivileged children in Kenya. This will be the fourth year of the Fisher Cycle and last year raised funds of £17,500. The cycle is a wonderful way to explore Country Fermanagh at its best. The 75 mile cycle will commence at 0900, the 45 mile at 1000 and the 22 mile at 1030. The event starts and finishes at Fisher House, Ballinamallard. Full refreshments and entertainment are available at the finish.
