Enniskillen ComicFest

Enniskillen, 11 May - 12 May

Description

ComicFest returns for its third year to Enniskillen bringing the world of comicbooks and superheroes to the town to celebrate sequential art and storytelling.

Following the programme of previous years there will be workshops aimed at students running in Enniskillen Library on Friday 11th and then Saturday 12th will be the main Convention day for the public.

This year our venue is St Macartin's Cathedral Hall which has recently been renovated and extended- on 12th May it will be packed with comic creators, both professional and self-published, merchandise and comics will be on sale and there will be plenty of cosplayers bringing to life your favourite characters.

Special guests include:
*Hugely popular writer Dan Abnett with hundreds of comic stories and dozens of novels to his name. On the evening of Friday 11th we are running a special writers round table discussion with Dan and some of the artists who've worked with him in Blakes the Hollow.
*Actress Jessica Martin, who over the past five years has created a number of award winning comics stories and graphic novels.
*We also have the superstar artist known as Jock who's distinctive art style can be seen in Judge Dredd, Batman, Green Arrow and Wolverine.

These are just a few of the twenty three Guests from across Ireland and the UK who will be appearing at ComicFest. All will be available on Saturday 12th May for autographs and sketches, and if you're an aspiring writer of artist why not bring along some of your work and get some tips!

Full details of our programme of events will be posted on the Enniskillen ComicFest Facebook page.
