My name Rory O’Donnell I am a keen runner who enjoys a challenge. Over the years I have watched my son struggle with everyday life because of his ADHD and I have seen first-hand the stigma and lack of understanding about ADHD. The lack of understanding has been very stressful for both my son and our family.
After attending an Adult ADHD support group in Enniskillen our family was finally given hope. I was inspired by the members of the group who were all affected by ADHD in some way and I could see the hard work being done to offer support and raise awareness of the condition.
I decided to be pro-active and help support Adult ADHD NI gain much needed funds by running 3 Ultra marathons in 3 days. This challenge which I am calling Rory’s Endurance of the Erne it will take place on the 23rd,24th and 25th of June. I am going to be running all of lough Erne in County Fermanagh. This is a massive challenge and has never been done before and I am doing it so that people like my son and our family will always have somewhere to go when they need it.
Please support my Endurance of the Erne challenge by donating . Anybody interested in joining for part of the run and to raise funds for Adult ADHD NI please contact me for further details. Everyone is welcome!!
