Coolbeg is situated on its own 40 acre farm on a bay in Upper Lough Erne which is very popular with pike fishermen in season, shore fishing is also productive. Fisherman can either bring their own boat or hire our boat for £50 per week, including a tank of petrol or only £20 if using oars.

There is an on-site launching point that is suitable for small boats. We are a short distance from Carrybridge with public launching facilities for larger boats and ample parking for boat and trailer storage, a freezer for bait and catch is provided. Inside the Cottage is a comprehensive guidebook to fishing locations in Fermanagh and boat launching points. Also information as to location of tackle shops and places to purchase permits and licences.

We can arrange rod licences, fishing permits, bait, ghillies and guides.

Come and stay at Corralea or Pinetree cottage on the shores of Upper Lough Macnean. Enjoy the peaceful and remote location and discover the riches of Lough Macnean in your 19ft fishing boat with outboard engine . Our cottages are located on the shore of the lough, just a stone throw from your boat. We provide you with a map of the lake and life jackets. It is also possible to fish from the shore or nearby river.

Lough Macnean has an area of 670ha. It contains pike, bream, roach, perch, rudd and eels. Season is all year round but better in Spring and Autumn. The services of local ghillies can be arranged if you wish. Coarse licence costs: £27.00 for 14 days.

Corralea cottages have 2 bedrooms and are suitable for up to 4 people - £670.00
Pinetree cottage has 3 bedrooms and is suitable for up to 5 people - £830.00
Best Period: March-June and Sept-Oct.

Price includes accommodation for 7 days in Self-catering cottage and a fishing boat for 6 days.

You can stay at the Holiday Cottages, campsite and Glamping Pods. Which are all situated within 500 yards of Upper Lough Erne. Access to the Lough can be gained via Waterways Ireland floating jetty or National Trust slipway if you would like to launch a boat. At Crom you can hire day boats or canoes. We can also sell you DCAL fishing licences.
On Crom Estate we also have fishing pegs which can be taken at £5 per peg per day. There is a Pike Lake with a rowing boat which you can avail of for £10 per person per day.

For anglers wishing to game fish, Fermanagh Lodges is set on the shores of the Lough Erne at the centre of the almost undiscovered Upper Lough Erne. Stroll down from your comfortable cottage and fish from the shore or use one of our well equipped fishing boats from the marina to explore the miles of inlets, channels and extensive reed beds.

Our lakeside cottages offer luxurious accommodation with all the comforts of home. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a large living and dining space there is ample space for you to relax in the evening after a plentiful day of fishing. The cottage has a wood burning stove or you can enjoy a barbecue on the deck which looks out on the lake. We have a small fleet of 17ft fishing boats. They come equipped with 5hp engine, oars, full tank of fuel, maps, waterproof barrel and lifejackets. The cottages have direct access to our private 30 berth marina, where you can use your boat from during your stay. Our basic fishing package is based on four people sharing a cottage. Mid-week breaks (3 nights) cost £90 per person based on four people sharing, and a weeklong breaks (7 nights) costs £160 per person, based on four people sharing.

We are flexible and can arrange fishing packages for larger groups, or provide more fishing boats. Included in our fishing package price are two 17ft fishing boats and all included equipment and the cottage includes bed linen and towels, electricity, central heating, basket of logs for the fire, wireless internet, and the cottage is equipped with basic supplies such as tin foil, cling film, salt and pepper etc.

Fermanagh Lodges are within easy reach of Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Tyrone and North Mayo with many of the best fishing opportunities in Ireland all within easy reach. This allows you to fish three or four different rivers or Loughs in a week’s holiday. Fish one of Fermanagh’s most famous Loughs, Lough Melvin in Fermanagh. Home to three distinct trout species the Sonaghan, Gillaroo and the Ferox. Fishing starts here in February with the first salmon, Grise from May to July and trout throughout the season. A short 20 minute drive will take you to the Colebrook River with its excellent fly fishing for trout or an hours drive away is the River Mourne were salmon fishing can be arranged.
