Description

An Creagán is nestled in the ancient landscape of the Sperrin foothills and designed to reflect the archaeological sites to be found in the region. Surrounded by bog and forest the buildings sit in the site of the glacial esker, deposited here during the last ice age over 10,000 years ago. Established in 1994 An Creagán brings some essential services to the rural community and has become a thriving hub for tourism, arts and culture.

Facilities also include a licensed restaurant, bar, conference and function facilities, craft shop, interpretive exhibition, children's play area and wild woods area which is a natural outdoor play and education space designed to enhance children’s holistic development through the encouragement of natural play in a safe and secure environment.

An Creagán self catering cottages are located on the grounds of An Creagán, there are eight cottages in all, with a choice of one, two or three bedrooms, giving you the chance to discover the past, with all the comforts of the present.

A full programme of cultural events and festivals are planned, providing traditional music, song and dance, live music is held every weekend at An Creagán.
